Motivation

Every beginner comes to us with an individual motivation. It doesn't matter whether you want to relax, get to know ZEN, or break away from the dictates of your own thoughts. Perhaps the motive is learning to deal with the enormous challenges of the present and future or existential questions such as: "Who am I" "What is the meaning of this life" "What comes after death".

All of these motivations have equal justification and are a stepping stone into one's own being, a good reason to begin this wonderful path. It requires the accompaniment of a teacher who has walked this path and is demonstrably empowered to do so. and can take responsibility. Sensei Okami, Spiritual Director of Eido-Ji, received Shiho, ZEN Teacher and ZEN Priest Empowerment in 2017 from Roshi Paul Genki Kahn (ZEN GARLAND ORDER USA )
